FAQs

Can we play with 2 people or more than 6?

Panda Party plays best with 3-6 people, but this doesn't mean other group sizes can't play!

For 2 players, you just need to make a few tweaks to the deck, spelled out on the how to play FAQs.

For 7 players, play to four pandas instead of five so it doesn't run all night, and add the two Bambooster packs so the deck keeps up with the bigger table. For 8 or more, best to pair up!

Can kids under 8 play?

It depends on the kid, on how confident they are with reading and adding up small numbers. We've heard kids as young as 5 playing on their own against parents and siblings, while others prefer to team up with an adult.
To make Panda Party accessible to as many people as possible, we've also got a simplified version of the rules on the how to play FAQs.

How long does a game take?

Generally 15 to 45 minutes, mostly driven by player count (15mins for 3 players, 45mins for 6). The other driver of duration is how vicious everyone gets. If the table starts ganging up to stop whoever's in front, expect the long end.

Rounds can be quick and the pacing really picks up towards the pointy end when someone's about to win.

What kind of game is it, and do I need to be into board games?

It's a party card game, in the same corner of the shelf as Exploding Kittens and Unstable Unicorns. Light, fast, social, no rulebook marathon.

You don't need any experience: people who've never played a card game before can understand the rules quickly and even win on their first go!

For more experienced gamers, Panda Party is a great icebreaker to your games night and we have no doubt you'll find unique ways to strategise.

Do I need the Bambooster packs?

Nope! The base game is complete on its own: 154 cards, a rulebook, everything you need to play. Bamboosters are 10-card themed add-ons that include new pandas, actions and shocks into your game.

How fast is delivery, and do you ship overseas?

We post from Canberra: 3 to 8 business days standard, 2 to 4 express in Australia, with tracking provided.

Checkout is set up for Australian addresses, but if you're overseas and want a copy, email hello@pandaparty.com.au and we're happy to quote you on international postage and arrange it from there.

Panda Party will also be on Amazon US from Sep 2026 for our friends in the States.

How do I use a discount code?

Pop it in the discount box at checkout, just above the total.

What if I change my mind, or something's wrong with the delivery?

For change of mind, we offer returns 14 days from delivery, and it doesn't need to come back sealed because we know you need to actually play the game first.

In the unlikely case of issues with your order delivery, just email a photo and we'll replace it at no extra charge or refund you in full.

Easy to learn, fun with lots of laughs

I didn't really know what to expect with this game, so many new games try hard to be unique, but end up becoming overly complicated, always requiring frequent referring to the instructions. But not Panda Party, this only takes minutes to get the feel of, and before long, you're laughing and playing like a pro. It's one of those games where things can turn around quickly and a player on the verge of winning can find themselves losing everything. It's a simple yet clever game and the quality of the cards is excellent. Definitely recommend it for a family or group of friends of 4 to 5 people.

A Fun and Hilarious Game for Family Game Nights

Panda Party is a fast-paced and entertaining card game that brings lots of laughter to family game nights. The rules are easy to learn, and the gameplay is exciting with plenty of surprises, especially when stealing cards from other players or dealing with unexpected shocks.

The panda-themed artwork is cute and appealing, and the cards are good quality. It's a great choice for both kids and adults, keeping everyone involved and competitive. The game rounds are relatively short, so it's easy to play multiple times in one sitting.

The only downside is that younger children may need a little help understanding some of the strategies at first, but once they get the hang of it, they will have a lot of fun. Overall, a fantastic party game that encourages interaction, laughter, and friendly competition.

Panda Party is a great fun and easy to learn card game for all ages

Panda Party is a really fun game to play with friends. It's the perfect group game, because it balances strategy with unpredictability, which levels out the playing field. While there are a lot of different cards to wrap your head around, especially on the first playthrough, the core of the game is simple enough for a wide range of ages.

I really like that they included instruction cards, this is a great idea, especially helpful during the first round of play or with younger players, and makes it easier to learn the game.

If you have a friendship group that likes to meet up to play new games over a few drinks, Panda Party is an excellent choice for your next get-together. The game seems simple at first, just collect 5 panda cards to win. As soon as it looks like someone is going to win, the game inevitably turns into chaos! It's fun, easy to pick up the base rules, and sure to have everyone in stitches the moment "strategy Steve" gets blocked from picking up his panda by the least savvy player who happened to have the right card at the right time.

It's easy to see why this game won the Indie Showcase at PAX Australia 2025!

Fun and engaging panda-themed card game for families

This game is fun to play with kids, and I like that it can easily be a quick game if the players decide it to be. It includes a few different types of cards, including foods that act as currency, pandas, and action cards. The game seems overwhelming at first, but the instructions explain everything clearly and even show the intended layout of the table, making it very easy to understand for children aged 8 and above.

It comes with one main objective: the first person to collect five pandas wins. During rounds, you can buy pandas, play actions such as stealing pandas from other players, use powers from your gold pandas to play guessing games, or choose to pass. Pandas can also be auctioned, and actions within turns can be stopped by other players if they have the right cards in hand. The pandas themselves, their names, outfits, and powers, are all quite entertaining, and the combination of these elements makes the game really enjoyable.

If the game starts to feel boring, players can stop halting others from reaching the five-panda goal, or if everyone is still having fun, turns can be voluntarily skipped to keep things going. The cards pack nicely into the durable game box, and the whole set is compact for easy storage. Overall, this is a fun game and a great option for family game night if you have older children.

Easy to learn, fun family game

I played Panda Party with my mum and young adult son. We played three rounds as we all enjoyed it so much. There are instructions in the pack and the game is easy to learn.
The aim of the game is to get five (or we played to six) pandas. You get the pandas by using food cards which all have different food amounts. There are standard, silver and gold pandas, the silver and gold being harder to get but give you special powers. But along the way there are also some shock cards which can be positive or negative and impact everyone and some action cards. A little bit of luck, a little bit of skill, its a fun game from ages eight and above.
Each round went for around 10 minutes

The cards were high-quality and feel nice in your hands. It was great family fun.
You do need a minimum of three players so keep this in mind lots of games just require two.

An Easy Crowd Pleaser for Game Night

This card game has turned into a regular pick for our game nights, and it earns its spot. The cards are good quality and hold up well to repeated shuffling, and the whole thing is easy to pick up and play with a small group. There is no big learning curve to wade through, so people can jump in within a few minutes of opening the box.

What keeps it on the shelf is the repeatability. It works for short rounds when you only have a bit of time, and it stretches nicely into longer medium length sessions when everyone is settled in. The pace stays lively and no two games feel quite the same, which is part of why it keeps getting pulled out.

For a small group looking for something light and fun without a heavy rulebook, it is well worth picking up.

Great for rainy day and school holidays

I picked up Panda Party recently and it's quickly become one of those games we keep reaching for. It's easy to learn, plays fast, and somehow manages to be both chaotic and strategic at the same time. We've taken it to a couple of family get‑togethers and everyone's ended up asking for "one more round" because it gets funnier the longer you play. The artwork is adorable, the cards feel sturdy, and the gameplay works well whether you've got a small group or a full table. It's the kind of game you can pull out before dinner, after dessert, or during a lazy afternoon and it always gets people laughing. A great little addition to any game shelf.

Chaotic and charming card game that plays well with groups! Easy party game!

The game won me over pretty quickly once we started playing. Each turn moves fast, with everyone drawing a card, choosing what to play, and trying to gather pandas before anyone else reaches five. I enjoyed how the action cards keep things unpredictable. The first time someone stole one of my pandas, the table erupted, and the hand swap caught me completely off guard in a good way. The shock cards add a bit of chaos that can flip the lead instantly, which kept everyone leaning in. The pandas themselves have a bit of personality to them, and the artwork gives the game a light, playful feel that suits family nights.

There were a couple of things I noticed while playing. The chaos is part of the charm, but it does mean strategy only gets you so far when a shock card wipes out your plan. Some players will love that energy, while others might prefer a little more control. I also found that the pace encourages quick rounds, which is great, though it means the game leans more towards fun moments than deep tactics. None of this stopped us from playing multiple times in a row, and it actually made it easier to bring new players in without much explanation.

It's a lively, easy to learn card game with enough twists to keep everyone engaged, and the mix of stealing, swapping, and racing to five pandas makes it memorable and replayable!!

A Pawsitively Delightful game!

I bought Panda Party and the expansion pack at CanCon (a local gaming convention), directly from the game's creators. It's easy to learn and play, making it perfect for game nights, lunch breaks, or at parties with friends. The game's goal is simple and entertaining: be the first player to collect 5 pandas at your party to claim victory. This straightforward objective keeps the game engaging and competitive without sacrificing the fun atmosphere.
It's a perfect choice for anyone looking to share some laughs with friends and family. Its charming theme, easy gameplay, and positive vibes make it great for players of all ages. Recommended.

Kids Are Learning Maths from It

Really fun game which I picked up at Cancon 2024! My 5 y.i daughter is basically learning math from it, by working out how to add up the foods to pay for the pandas and my 8 yo son loves it too and continues to develop new strats! He loves stringing together a few surprise Paws off cards!

A Staple in My Board Games Repertoire

We absolutely adore Panda Party! It is such a quick, easy game to pick up (the additional rule card for each player is a genius idea and comes in very handy). Also we were absolutely blown away once we figured out we could outbid each other for a panda - we have had some amazing games since then! A brilliant game that is now a staple in my boardgames repertoire. It's an easy play with a small party of 3 people and even better with 5-6 people. And the best part is how easily adaptable it is to how you want to play on the day - short game or a long game, you choose just by changing the party number goal. A great game!

Up Until 1am, Five Rounds Straight

We played a game with five friends, started quite timid - but by round two we were all in / no friendship was safe. Game is addictive, fun and dynamic. We were up until 1am and played 5 rounds in succession. 10/10 would recommend.

Fun, Fast-Paced Family Game That Gets Everyone Involved

Panda Party is a fantastic card game that's easy to learn but still full of excitement and strategy. The goal of collecting pandas while stealing from friends and avoiding shocks keeps every round unpredictable and entertaining.

The gameplay is fast-paced, making it perfect for family game nights, and it keeps both kids and adults engaged from start to finish. The rules are simple enough for younger players to pick up quickly, but there's enough interaction and friendly competition to keep everyone laughing.

The cards are well-made, the artwork is fun, and games don't drag on, making it easy to play multiple rounds in one sitting. It works especially well with larger groups, creating plenty of memorable moments.

A great choice for families, parties, or anyone looking for a fun and lighthearted game night gift.
